Mid afternoon, High Summer image of Oia, Santorini, August 2007. A last minute break from one of our rather inclement summers.

Disappearing Vegas

A stroll around the backstreets of Skagway in Alaska turned up many rusted and abandoned pushbikes. This one was one of several that caught my eye.

Train Station Ghosts - taken March 2007 in the main station in Buchurest, Romania.

Taken just 3 days before the tall ships parade at high tide, New Brighton, Wirral, UK. What a wash out it could all have been! However even so it was a great day, warm(ish) howling gale, loads of fun and a wet camera to boot. The power of the elements was on full display, Awesome!!

African Dancers - An experiment in movement, colour & light

'Penelope' Street sculpture in Liverpool City centre by Jorge Pardo, the globes arre all different colours and light up during the hours of darkness. Very War of the Worlds!

I thought this quite poignant as we move towards November and remembrance Sunday.

'Surprise View', a popular spot overlooking Derwent Water in the English Lake District. This was taken as winter was closing in.

A new dawn for Liverpool. Having been granted the status of European Capital of Culture for 2008 together with Stavangar in Norway, things were well underway and the skyline was and is constantly changing. A photograph captures a single moment in time never to be repeated.

Taken 24/03/05, this was the 2044th shot I ever took digitally using my Canon 10D. I call this 'The World In One City'. It took a good deal of precarious leaning to get the angle needed too!

A view of the Liverpool waterfront when you could see pretty much all of it. Taken 21/02/06, I just happened to be around Birkenhead this winters afternoon with my camera and could see the sun dipping underneath the black clouds across to Wales so I legged it down to Woodside. I only had to wait a few minutes before this scene exploded. The image doesn't actually capture the reflections very well from the windows but the sky honestly was that colour!

Early morning mist just burning off through the trees, spring 2008 Lever Causeway, Wirral, UK. Originally part of the driveway to the home of Lord Leverhulme this causeway is arrow straight for about a mile and lined all the way by these trees.
